There are four types of Classification within Air Cadets. Classifications should not be confused with ranks.

The first is First Class Cadet, this is a basic introduction to the ATC and the RAF!

The next Classification is Leading Cadet. This is a bit more advanced than First Class and takes longer to complete.

The next classification up is Senior Cadet. Senior is a lot more advanced than First Class and Leading. It involves learning about Aircraft Handling and Propulsion.

Lastly, Staff Cadet classification involves lessons such as Airframes and Operational Flying.

On the whole Classifications at 2431 (Keighley) Squadron are well organised and structured lectures taken by NCO's (Non Commissioned Officers) and Civilian Instructors.

You learn so much and then have a small test at the end of each classification.
